Rehearsals to the piece Disapeared

In these 10 dates, we will look alternating one week on explorative anatomy on the principles of Body-Mind Centering ® and one week on fundamentals of Contact Improvisation. The course is intended to broaden the knowledge about oneself in movement and working on the fundamentals of Contact Improvisation. Exploring anatomical themes helps us to better understand ourselves and the body in movement. The contact improvisation class in the following week builds on that material. It is the perfect choice to get yourself to learn to move and get to know better these movement forms.

At the moment INtroduction into BMC and Contact Improvisation

running until the end of march, each week we have a different theme. We already worked on the Cells and the skin, touch, bones and weight, muscles and resistance, guiding and following.

We will still work with the organs, Infant Movement Developmentals and/or Nervous System

The themes of Contact Improvisation: touch, rolling point of Contact, weight, dancing in dialogue, levels. The 11th week is for integration of all the material.

Wednesday 10-12

Alignment und Stretching guide us into physical action. I am interested in the flowing transitions from one quality into another, from up to down, from slow to fast. Shorter and longer Movementsequences guides through the class. At the beginning we warm up the body, stretch and work on alignment and quality. Then we start to move with more acrobatical Elements on the hands and where big and small movements, floorwork and jumps alternate.

The class is based on Release- und  flyinglow technique, acr0batical elements, parts from Capoeira, African Dances and Body-Mind Centering.

Fit and present in the body.

Breathing exercises, Stretching, Elements from Yoga and Qi Gong are connected to do good for our body and to create an entry into the day with energy and presence. Supported through the principles of Body-Mind Centering® we discover our body and its anatomy and amplify our movement abilities. A combination of guided and free movement and meditation we open our awareness for us and our body. We become present for our necessities and support our health.

Workshop of BMC and Contact Improvisation 2009 in Florianopolis; Brasil

This class is for people, who want to deepen their knowledge in Contact Improvisation and who have an interess to explore their dance abilities and their own dance. I like to work with bodywork and movement explorations of our human anatomy. A body offers an interesting field of research. We don´t just find interesting impulses for our dance, but widen our dance technicals skills. I learned this approach from Body-Mind Centering, an experimentals method to bring body and mind into relationship and into dialog..This course is before the  Südstern Jam, so that you can integrate the class in the jam
